Talbot Hotel Wexford

Fabulous hotel. It feels like luxury. Every detail is attended to. The front desk staff was outstanding. Unfortunately, rail workers began working on an issue at 11pm. The pounding of metal on metal was loud and lasted for hours. There was absolutely no way to sleep since our double room was facing the Harbor and railway. The night manager explained that the hotel had not been notified of the work and he cheerfully helped us move into 2 separate rooms on the opposite side of the building as no double room was available. He could not have apologised more nor been more helpful and sympathetic. When things go wrong and the staff responds appropriately is the true measure of greatness.Bravo.

Room was clean and pretty cozy. Breakfast menu was quite enough and satisfying although it can always be improved. Dinner at the bar was exceptionally reasonably priced and of high quality in terms of taste and dish serving. I found the staff and especially the restaurant staff very nice and helpful!

My sister and I stayed here for 1 night, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly upon arrival. We absolutely loved our room, it was very clean, bigger than expected and included air conditioning, water, and tea/coffee making facilities, in addition to a small table with chairs and a desk with a large mirror. We were located on the first floor and there was no noise from outside, despite staying on a Saturday night. The free car park for guests was a great bonus! Even once we checked out, the staff were happy to let me leave my car in their car park for an hour or two while we went shopping. I would highly recommend this hotel!

In town With swimming pool, gym, cosy bedrooms, clean, beautiful. Great staff Late check out (11am) Breakfast in bed option

Everywhere was very clean and even saw people cleaning around the outside of the property on a couple of occasions. Had booked a room with a sea view which we expected to be a normal window but was allocated room 530 which has a viewing / seating area that protrudes out given fantastic 180 degree views. Could have spent all day just sat on the comfy sofa looking out. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We ate in the restaurant one night which was very good as were the breakfasts. Very good location to walk into town and the harbour.
